明末，昏君崇祯不断缺陷取苛捐杂税，加深人民的痛苦。农民高良敏因付不出捐税，父子俩都被抓入狱，儿媳张慧珠日夜织绢才将高父子赎回。刚到家，公差就来抽取新税，父子俩连夜去采药被老虎吃了，慧珠的独子宝琏又被抓去，年迈的婆婆被气身亡。索税公差仍向她要税，慧珠一人逃进深山荒野，自刎而死。。“From Far Away” is a documentary dealing with a journey through Turkey.
